September Birthstone Beads

September birthstone beads: blue sapphire, the modern stone of the ninth month, and lapis lazuli, the deep blue stone of the older lists, so September is blue from either side. Sapphire is blue corundum, cut here in microfaceted rounds and rondelles, in pure blue and in multicolor strands; lapis lazuli is an opaque royal blue rock flecked with gold pyrite and one of the largest selections in the store, in smooth, matte and faceted rounds, rondelles, cubes, tubes and coins from 2mm to 12mm. In metaphysical belief sapphire is associated with wisdom and faithfulness, and lapis lazuli with truth and inner vision, a link that goes back to ancient Egypt and Sumer.
