October Birthstone Beads

October birthstone beads: opal in pink, blue, yellow, dendritic and Ethiopian, and tourmaline in black, pink, green and watermelon, the 2 modern stones of the tenth month. Opal is the traditional October stone and tourmaline was added in 1952, and between them October has the widest color range of any month. The opals here are mostly the opaque common opals, Peruvian pink and blue, yellow and dendritic, in smooth rounds and rondelles, with fiery Ethiopian opal in small faceted strands; tourmaline runs from black schorl to pink, green and the pink and green watermelon slices, in smooth, faceted and microfaceted cuts.
