Oval Beads

Oval beads draw a round out into a smooth ellipse, and marquise beads taper the same line to a point at each end, adding length and a softer line than a tube. Larger ovals make focal beads and pendants; smaller ones lengthen a strand without crowding it. Blue kyanite, bronzite, hypersthene, petrified wood, lemon chrysoprase, cloudy quartz, angelite and tiger iron come cut as ovals, sold by the strand.
