November Birthstone Beads

November birthstone beads: clear topaz and golden citrine, the 2 stones of the eleventh month, one water clear and one the color of honey. Topaz is the traditional November stone and citrine joined it in 1952, and the 2 have long been confused, since golden topaz and citrine look alike. The topaz here is the colorless form, hard at 8 on the Mohs scale and cut in smooth and faceted rounds and prisms; citrine is yellow quartz from pale lemon to deep amber, in smooth, faceted and microfaceted rounds, rondelles and rough nuggets.
