Regular meditation is one of the best things you can do for yourself in order to enhance your spiritual and mental health. It also benefits you physically and emotionally, relaxes tense muscles, helps to ease tightness or pain throughout the body and brings an overall sense on intense comfort and well-being.
There are many different ways you can meditate, from sitting or lying in silence to following a spoken, guided meditation. Many people say that they “can’t” meditate, but this is because they have not yet found the way that is right for them. The truth is that we all meditate, every day and several times a day, it is just that we call this “daydreaming” and it often lasts for just a few seconds so that we are not always aware of it. Our unconscious mind is responsible for these short periods of trance, and they are essential for our mental functioning.
How to Start
You may well already be a seasoned meditator, in which case, carry on! If you are a beginner, the following tips will help you to get started.
Choose a space for your meditation that is both clean and comfortable. Let in some fresh air, light a candle if you want to, play spiritual or soft music if you find that it relaxes you. Ensure that everyone else in the household knows that you are not to be disturbed, turn off all phones and allow yourself to sit or lie, eyes closed, and just do nothing.
Breathe normally, allow your thoughts to drift in and out of your mind but pay them no attention. Take your awareness into various parts of your physical body and see whether there is any tension that needs releasing. Consciously relax your jaw, your neck and the muscles around your eyes.
Set an intention for your meditation by asking for guidance on any issue you are dealing with at the moment.
Clear Quartz – The Master Meditator and All Healer Stone
You can, of course, choose to meditate with any crystal you like. You can choose a specific stone for a very specific purpose, or you can go with your gut instincts. Make a point of telling the Universe that you will leave the details up to it, or to your guides, and focus only on your end goal for this meditation.

Stay in your meditative state for as long as you want to, and then bring yourself back to the here and now by slowly wiggling fingers and toes, opening your eyes and saying thank you. Express this gratitude to yourself for completing the exercise and to the crystal for supporting you.
