These microfaceted chrysocolla beads show velvety blue to blue green color with patches of brown and dark matrix, and their tiny facets catch the light for a soft sparkle. Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper silicate that forms where copper deposits weather near the surface. It is found in Australia, Chile, Greece, the United States and Peru, where this material comes from. It is a soft stone, about 3 to 3.5 on the Mohs scale, so store it apart from harder beads to avoid scratches. In metaphysical belief, chrysocolla is linked with calm, clear communication.

Recommendations

For beads 4mm and smaller, it is recommended to start with stringing wires no larger than .013inch / .33mm. This will ensure a proper fit and in most cases allow for feeding of the wire tip back through the beads for a clean finish.

Elastic cords can be used with beads 4mm and larger, but it will not fit through most beads smaller than 4mm. It's recommended to use 0.5mm elastic cord.
