Hypersthene is a Canadian magnesium-iron silicate known for it's grayish-black color and a vitreous to pearly luster. It is commonly found in igneous and metamorphic rocks and has a distinctive metallic-like sheen known as "schiller" when polished. Hypersthene is believed to have metaphysical properties, including promoting clarity and calmness.
