These flat faceted oval beads are mottled forest and olive green with splashes of brick red and deep burgundy, and many show areas of charcoal gray, so every bead has its own pattern. Dragon's blood jasper comes from South Africa and is made mostly of green epidote, with red patches often identified as piemontite, a manganese-rich mineral in the same family. In metaphysical belief, dragon's blood jasper is associated with courage, vitality and creativity.
