Note: These are the beads with more white in them from a batch of citrine. They get progressively whiter as the size gets smaller - see comparison photo. We have a lot of these, particularly in the 10mm size which is why they are such a great deal.

Citrine is buried deep in the earth where the extreme heat alters its color. Over millions of years it is raised to through the earth's crust to the surface where it can be mined and cut into beautiful beads.

Citrine is a yellow-orange pigmented member of the quartz family.
