These large hole beads are glossy black with white and gray bands and eye patterns. Sardonyx is a banded chalcedony named for its layers of sard and onyx, and these beads show bold black and white bands. In metaphysical belief, sardonyx is associated with strength and stability.

Beautiful stone

I ordered a couple of strands of Sardonyx Agate stones to replenish my black stone stash. Sardonyx Agate is a lovely stone, the very subtle banding is a plus as it adds the slightest texture and interest to any piece I create that needs a black based stone. Very pretty, well finished. Two beads on the strand have an actual white spot on them: Earrings!

Love these!

Love the deep black with subtle white stripe accents! The white stripes are a little less pronounced than the photos make them look, but I think it's just a camera lighting thing.... in any case they are very nice beads! I highly recommend!
