These faceted spiral beads are jet black with a twisting cut that catches the light. Onyx is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz that forms as silica-rich water fills cavities in rock and hardens layer by layer. In metaphysical belief, onyx is associated with inner strength, focus and self-discipline.
