This material forms in silica-rich sedimentary environments, where mineralization can preserve traces of ancient organic matter within the stone. Metaphysically, Fossil Jasper is associated with grounding, stability, and a deep connection to the Earth.

Fossil Jasper is also sometimes referred to as Riverstone.
