An opaque carbon rich stone with a silvery metallic cast. Originating in Shunga, Russia, it is associated in metaphysical belief with spiritual cleansing and is commonly used in meditation.

This stone conducts electricity, but you may need to break a bead or test through the holes to get a positive reading due to the polish / coating on the exterior of the bead.
