These agate beads have been altered with a surface coating to give them a cracked frosted appearance.

These matte round beads are frosted white with fine crackle veins. Agate is a banded chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz, and these beads were treated to give them their cracked, frosted look. In metaphysical belief, agate is associated with stability and strength.
