These smooth round beads are pale sky blue to light aqua, with soft white, cloud-like patterns and turtleback markings that give each bead its own look. Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite, a sodium calcium silicate found only in the Dominican Republic, where it crystallized in cavities and cracks in volcanic rock and took its blue color from traces of copper. In metaphysical belief, larimar is associated with calm, the sea and clear communication.
