These smooth round beads show vivid turquoise blue and sea green tones, patterned with the white, cloud-like swirls and turtleback markings larimar is known for, so each bead has its own pattern. Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite, a sodium calcium silicate found only in the Dominican Republic, where it crystallized in cavities and cracks in volcanic rock and took its blue color from traces of copper. In metaphysical belief, larimar is associated with calm, the sea and clear communication.
