These smooth round beads mix dusty rose, hot pink and magenta with mauve, tan and olive green, and many are flecked with dark gray to black matrix, so every bead looks different. Cobalto calcite, also called cobaltoan calcite, is calcium carbonate in which a little of the calcium is replaced by cobalt, which gives it its pink to magenta color, while the green and dark patches are other minerals from the surrounding rock. In metaphysical belief, cobalto calcite is associated with love, compassion and self-acceptance.
