Pietersite is made up predominantly of hawk’s eye and tiger’s eye. Discovered in 1962 by Sid Pieters while prospecting for gemstones on some farmland in Namibia, Africa. In metaphysical belief, this gemstone's subtle swirling tones and satiny textures are associated with focus and the courage to bring about positive change.
