Moonstone has been used in jewelry for centuries. Its unique iridescent sheen resembles the light of the moon, hence its name. Moonstone is made of two feldspar minerals, orthoclase and albite, in fine alternating layers.

In crystal lore, moonstone is associated with success, good fortune, and wisdom. It is also traditionally associated with peace, harmony, and balance.

Moonstone is available in a range of colors, from white to yellow to pink. Moonstone has a Mohs hardness rating of 6-6.5 so it's relatively hard but care should be taken against abrasions.
