These smooth round beads range from pale silver gray to deep smoky gray, translucent with soft cloudy veils that give each bead a misty look. Quartz is crystalline silicon dioxide that grows from silica-rich fluids in veins and cavities, and the gray clouds are fine inclusions trapped as the crystal formed. In metaphysical belief, cloudy quartz is associated with clarity, balance and calm.
