These smooth round beads are dark gray green with bright red spots and patches. Bloodstone is a dark green chalcedony with red spots of iron oxide, and African bloodstone tends to show bolder red against gray green. In metaphysical belief, bloodstone is associated with courage and vitality.

I wasn’t expecting these to blow me away. African bloodstone in pictures is not the same as holding it in person. The colors are unique and it has a good weight to it. Very happy with what I got for the price.
