These are obsidian beads that have an icy appearance similar to smoky quartz - super cool and very unique! These beads are sometimes referred to as smoky obsidian.

Obsidian is a glass-like volcanic stone resulting from the rapid cooling of lava. Being an amorphous stone, it does not have a geometric crystal structure like other minerals. Obsidian is most commonly black but can also be gray, dark brown, green, and everything in between.

Since I am a maker and designer of rosaries I wold really appreciate a bead count of 60 on a strand in the 8 mm size.
