These beads, made from silica (sand) and soda (limestone) with added colorants, are contemporary recreations inspired by ancient designs. Produced in Afghanistan, they echo the Roman glassmaking techniques once shared across the Silk Road.

Wonderful beads--better than they appear in the pictures!

What a find. If you are looking for materials that are totally out of the ordinary, this is what you want. Beautiful--pretty colors--every one is different. And wow! Delivered practically instantly. I do have to say I have a terrible time resisting Tejas beads, and these broke my resistance down. Thank you!
