The inconsistency of hole size & the rough edges that cause the cord to fray are a deal breaker for me. 10-15% of the beads are smaller than the listed hole size of .8-1.0 mm.

I was hoping to get that intense blue in all the beads like it was shown in the pictures, but only got a few. Most are darker than expected.

I like the lapis beads for their variations in color, but the most frustrating issues with them are the inconsistent hole size & the rough hole edges that fray the braided cord I use. The hole size for 8mm beads is listed as .8-1.0mm, but the .8 mm cord won’t pass through 10% of them rendering them useless & a waste of my money. In making a mala I have to be able to trust that the rough edges are not going to cut the cord, causing the beads to be lost or dropped onto the floor or worse. I don’t feel like I can trust in the poor quality control of these beads.
