This natural White Howlite beads have not been treated to enhance color or clarity in any way.

White Howlite stone is a white or light grey mineral found in evaporite deposits. Its unique appearance results from its porous structure, which is full of tiny holes and voids. When cut and polished, it takes on a glossy sheen, making it popular for use in jewelry and other decorative items.

White Howlite is named after Henry How, a 19th-century mineralogist who first discovered it in Nova Scotia, Canada.

White Howlite is sometimes referred to as White Turquoise.

Not what I expected in a positive way

I am not a huge fan of Howlite just from an aesthetic viewpoint but I needed some for a special bracelet I am making. I figured I would throw a strand in on my order just to avoid a trip to the local big box store. Needless to say, this strand definitely changed my opinion as these beads are absolutely beautiful.
